About ACHA Health
Adelaide Community Healthcare Alliance Incorporated (ACHA) is South Australia’s largest locally based private hospital group. Operating within a proud community-based, not-for-profit tradition, ACHA delivers a broad range of high-quality healthcare services across acute medical, surgical, rehabilitation, and obstetrics.
ACHA operates three leading hospital sites:
With a history spanning more than 105 years and a workforce of approximately 2,500 employees, the organisation is widely recognised for its professionalism, compassion, and culture of continuous improvement.
For the past 23 years, ACHA has operated under a management agreement with Healthscope, a national private hospital operator. Under this arrangement, many corporate and administrative services, including People & Culture and payroll functions, have been provided centrally by Healthscope.
ACHA has formally notified Healthscope of its intention to terminate the management agreement and transition to an independent operating model. As part of this transition, ACHA will assume full responsibility for all corporate and operational functions, including People & Culture, payroll, finance, information technology, procurement, and other shared services, establishing the capabilities required to operate as a fully independent healthcare organisation.
